The annual Enrolment Sunday for the 3rd Butterworth Company Boys’ Brigade of Malaysia was held on 13th June 2004 at the Seberang Jaya State Public Library. Members of the Boys’ Brigade assembled at the library compound in the morning with high spirits. They had a last marching rehearsal to prepare for a good showing for the opening ceremony. As the time drew nearer to the opening ceremony guests and church members started to arrive in big numbers.
The 3rd Butterworth Boys’ Brigade was honoured to have Capt Samuel Choo, Penang State Commissioner and Vice President of BB Malaysia, to grace the opening ceremony which commenced at 10.45 am. Inspection of the guard of honour was conducted by 3rd Butterworth's captain, Capt Daniel Woo and Capt Samuel Choo. Subsequently the programmes were conducted in the auditorium of the State Library. The programmes started off with praise and worship led by the Primers. Followed by, a prayer by Primer Lim Miao Chin and scripture reading by L/Cpl Ooi Pey Wen.

First presentation by the Junior members was a sign language display depicting the song titled “Kuai Le Tian Tang”. The lovely display by the cute juniors was well received and thrilled the audience. Then the senior group performed a sketch based on the theme of a pop song titled “Where is the love”. It was about the story of current world happenings like high-jacking, terrorist attacks, wars etc and the consequences ending in deaths, hunger and broken families. The sketch was done in a comical way to the liking of the audience and yet able to convey the message on the importance and meaning of love in this present world.

After the entertaining performances Pastor Calvin Lim reported on Church related activities. The following programmes saw the two platoons, namely St. Mark High School and Chung Ling Butterworth High School, performed a dance each. Both platoons put up a good show and received rounds of applause from the audience. In his sermon, Pastor Calvin Lim elaborated on a sermon titled “A Life without regrets”.

It was badges awards and promotion time after the sermon. The awards given out included Target Badge, Expedition, Community Service, Swimming, Athletics, One Year Service etc. Three members received their promotion to L/Cpl namely Private Tai Liy Ha, Private Tan Tee Wee and Private Tan Hai Ming.
After the awards presentation, the congregation received benediction from Pastor and the day’s events came to a close with the closing ceremony. The guests and members of the church were treated to light refreshment at the cafeteria.
